The Tropicana Theater, Cuba
One of the highlights of my visit to Havana last July, was attending a show at the fabled Tropicana
Theater and seeing the 1930's and 40's era show. My thoughts went straight to Carmen Miranda, "The Brazilian Bombshell" and her magical singing and dancing through some 14 movies between 1945 and 1953. Attending a show at the Tropicana will take you right back to that era and put a smile on your face. It's like Jimmy Buffett says so well in his song, "They don't dance like Carmen no more".
If you ever get to Havana don't let anyone talk you out of attending a show at this wonderful historic theater. I've seen it and will attend again when I return to Havana again.
