  1. I've taken training in beer judging and am comfortable in my apprentice status/appreciation of a wide array of beer styles (certainly beyond those sampled abundantly in the '60's at Humboldt, I've sampled a fair bit of wine over the years and have my own system of rating them, I've recently accessed Scotches that I like (all Single Malt, but preferably peaty and smokey, with aging in sherry casks, port casks, or both). But I have to plead ignorance with regard to rum, and the subtleties, the nuances you have expressed.
I have no immediate plans to visit, but look forward to the first good excuse to learn from the master! And is it true that you still have the first Sprite?!
