Bacardi’s campaign comes in light of the
fact that the Mojito is one of the most popular cocktails in the world and
really deserves to be represented like so many other fine cocktails, Shervene Shahbazkhani, UK head of advocacy at
Bacardi, said: “With the Mojito being one of the best-selling and most widely
loved cocktails around, it only seems natural to add it to the emoji list
To support the campaign, Bacardi is calling
on rum and Mojito fans alike to show their support on social media byy using
the hashtag #MakeMineAnEmojito. “We’re
surprised it doesn’t exist already and hope Apple consider it as a new addition
after reading our letter.”
